LAGOS – Gateway Air, the Ogun State-owned carrier, will begin scheduled flight services on five major domestic routes from Monday, 13th April 2026, the airline announced over the weekend.

The move is part of a broader push to improve regional connectivity and offer more travel options across Nigeria, according to a statement from Hon. Kayode Akinmade, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to Governor Dapo Abiodun.

The new one-way routes include Iperu to Abuja, Abuja to Port Harcourt, Abuja to Calabar, Abuja to Jos, and Iperu to Kano. Flights will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with economy fares starting as low as ₦100,000.

The development marks a significant step for the state-owned airline, which says it is focused on delivering safe, efficient, and customer-focused air travel. Officials added that the new connections are expected to support economic growth and ease movement between key commercial and administrative hubs.
