The Presbyter of Methodist Church, Irolu, Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun, State, Rev. Olumide Faluyi has urged Nigerians to live a life worthy of emulation.
The cleric spoke during a Holy Communion Service to mark the 83rd birthday anniversary of Sir (Chief) 'Yomi Awodipe, which held last Monday at the Remo town.
Awodipe, the Asiwaju Irolu, is also the Baba Ijo of Methodist Church, Irolu.
According to him, life is more meaningful when the living impact positively on their fellows.
He recalled many communial and philanthropic gestures of Chief Awodipe within and outside his hometown, Irolu which he said are worthy of emulation.
"Let's us celebrate ourselves as well as make impactful impression on fellow humanbeings".
He added:"Life is more meaningful and impactful when we make positive impact on our fellow human beings and communities".
Rev. Faluyi recalled the moral and financial contributions of Awodipe's family to the Methodist Church, Irolu, in particular and the church in general.
While thanking guests for honouring his invitation, Awodipe appreciated God for sparing his life to witness another birthday anniversary.
The Asiwaju of Irolu, promised to continue making impactful impression on his people, saying that life without giving is a meaningless one.
"I appreciate your presence even though it falls on a Monday. I thank you for finding time to come around.
Guests, young and old, male and female in their tributes, extolled the virtues of the celebrant, describing him as a cheerful giver who has impacted positively on individuals and the communities he has lived these past years.
They also appreciated Awodipe's loving wife, Lady (Mrs.) Mosunmola Awodipe, who last July celebrated her 80th birthday for always being there for the celebrant at all times.
"Behind a successful man, there must be a successful woman too. For Chief Awodipe, Lady Awodipe has always been the woman who has always being there with him for several decades.
" It is our prayers that they continue to wax stronger in love as well as in good health", one of the guests prayed.
