Members of the Ogun State House of Assembly have commended the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide. This is part of activities marking the second anniversary of change of its leadership with members lauding Hon. Elemide as well as reaffirmed their unity of purpose. During a special plenary commemorating the anniversary at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the deputy speaker, Hon. Bolanle Lateefat Ajayi, lauded her colleagues for their unity of purpose. Ajayi, the member representing Yewa South State Constituency, appreciated the speaker for his transparent leadership, as well as acknowledged Governor Dapo Abiodun’s support for the legislative arm. The Minority leader and member representing Odogbolu State Constituency, Hon. Lukman Adeleye, also congratulated the speaker. While reflecting on the assembly’s growth in unity and resilience, Adeleye urged his co-lawmakers to sustain the legislative momentum. Adeleye, who congratulated the state on her 50th anniversary, pays tribute to the first civilian governor of Ogun the late Chief Olabisi Onabanjo.
He also commended the current administration led by Prince Dapo Abiodun for its commitment to quality education and industrialisation strides. Other lawmakers also congratulated the speaker and pledged continued support. Elemide, while responding, thanked his colleagues, the management and members of staff for their support and solidarity.
